Textile Machinery

Sub-30ms fault-stop clutch-brakes for narrow fabric loom main shafts, zero-slip drive engagement for yarn and wire winding, per-head clutches for multi-head embroidery, and shock-free needle bed engagement for flat and circular knitting machines.

Applications We Service

Four Textile Machine Applications

Specific applications where PV Industries components are specified by textile machinery OEMs and mill maintenance teams across India.

01
TX-01 · Narrow Fabric Weaving

Precise Main Shaft Drive & Stop for Narrow Fabric Weaving Looms

The loom main shaft must engage at each pick cycle and stop precisely at cycle end, thousands of times per shift. Milliseconds of timing inconsistency change pick density and cause visible banding; a slow fault-stop risks needle-to-reed collision.

Clutch-brake combination drives the main shaft and stops it with zero backlash in one unit. Sub-30ms fault-stop arrests the shaft before the needle completes its stroke; separate coil inputs tune torque for the loom's inertia and pick rate.

TX-02 · Winding Machine

Drive Engagement & Cycle Stop for Yarn and Wire Winding Machines

A winding machine must engage, wind to set length, and stop cleanly, every bobbin. A slipping clutch causes speed variation that changes yarn twist or wire lay; inconsistent stop position causes overshoot and scrap.

Clutch-brake combination gives zero-slip drive engagement — no speed variation during winding — and a zero-backlash brake stop for the same bobbin stop position every cycle. Scope is drive and stop only; tension control uses a separate magnetic particle brake.

TX-03 · Embroidery Machine

Individual Head Engagement for Multi-Head Embroidery Machines

Each head on a multi-head embroidery machine needs to engage and disengage independently from the common drive shaft, so a thread break at one head stops only that head. Compact head spacing and sub-30ms response are required.

Electromagnetic single disc clutch per head. On thread break, the controller de-energises that head's clutch — spring releases cleanly, all other heads continue. Zero-backlash re-engagement returns the head to exact pattern register.

TX-04 · Knitting Machine

Main Drive Engagement & Fault Stop for Flat and Circular Knitting Machines

A knitting machine drive must start the needle bed or cylinder smoothly — a shock engagement risks bent needles and dropped stitches. On a fault, the drive must stop immediately to limit defective fabric.

Controlled torque rise at start prevents needle carrier shock; fast brake engagement arrests the drive on a controller fault signal. Scoped to flat and lower-speed circular knitters — consult PV for high-speed large-diameter machines.
