Failsafe Parking & Emergency Brake for AGV and AMR

An AGV or AMR must stop instantly and hold position whenever power is lost, an E-stop is triggered, or the vehicle control system faults. Without a dedicated failsafe brake, the vehicle will coast or roll under load — creating a collision risk with people or equipment.

Spring-applied safety brake holds drive motor shaft by default — zero power, zero battery drain. 24V DC releases spring for drive. Power loss, E-stop, or battery fault: spring re-engages instantly. Direct NDE shaft mount — compact addition to drive module.

RA-02 · Gantry & Linear Actuator
Axis Hold & Failsafe Brake for Automation Gantries

An automation gantry vertical Z-axis carries a tooling head or workpiece that falls under gravity when the servo drive loses power. On E-stop, power fault, or safety door opening, the vertical axis must arrest immediately and hold position. Servo dynamic braking is not sufficient.

Spring-applied safety brake on servo motor NDE shaft — failsafe hold without separate housing. Spring holds axis on power loss. 24V DC release — same voltage as automation PLC panel. No separate brake power supply needed.

RA-03 · Motor Test Bench
Fixed-Load Brake for Motor & Actuator Test Benches

A motor test bench needs consistent resistive load for basic pass/fail validation — confirming rated torque output, no-load current, and thermal performance. For fixed-load tests, a full dynamometer is overspecified and expensive.

Electromagnetic single disc brake operated at a set coil current applies consistent resistive torque. Torque level set at commissioning — repeatable test results without dynamometer complexity. Spring re-engages on test completion.
