Robotics & Automation

Spring-applied fail-safe brakes that engage by default for AGV/AMR drive motors and automation gantry Z-axis hold, plus a fixed-load brake for motor and actuator test benches — the correct failsafe architecture wherever a power fault must never mean free motion.

Applications We Service

Three Automation Applications

Drop-in for Kendrion and INTORQ with same-week local dispatch from Bengaluru stock at INR pricing.

01
RA-01 · AGV / AMR

Failsafe Parking & Emergency Brake for AGV and AMR Drive Motors

An AGV or AMR carrying a load must stop instantly and hold position on power loss, E-stop, or control fault. Without a dedicated failsafe brake, the vehicle coasts or rolls under load, creating a collision risk with people or equipment.

Spring holds the drive motor shaft by default, zero power. 24V DC releases the spring for drive; on power loss, E-stop, or battery fault, the spring re-engages instantly. Direct motor shaft NDE mount.

RA-02 · Gantry & Linear Actuator

Axis Hold & Failsafe Brake for Automation Gantries and Linear Actuators

A gantry or Cartesian system with a vertical Z-axis carries a tooling head that falls under gravity when the servo loses power. Servo dynamic braking alone can't guarantee holding torque against a static load — a mechanically independent spring-applied brake is required.

Spring holds the axis on power loss; 24V DC releases the brake at the same voltage as the automation PLC panel — no separate power supply needed.

RA-03 · Motor Test Bench

Fixed-Load Brake for Motor & Actuator Test Benches

A motor or actuator test bench needs a consistent resistive load for basic pass/fail validation — confirming torque output, no-load current, and thermal performance. A full dynamometer is overspecified and costly for this scope.

Electromagnetic single disc brake operated at a set coil current applies consistent resistive torque, set once at commissioning for repeatable results. Spring re-engages on test completion, safely arresting the shaft. For variable-torque dynamometer testing, PV recommends a magnetic particle brake instead.
