Failsafe Position Hold for Hospital Beds & Surgical Tables

A hospital bed or surgical table must hold the patient's set position securely against patient weight when the drive motor is off. If the positioning drive relies on motor dynamic braking, any power interruption allows the section to drift or drop under patient load.

Spring-applied safety brake holds the patient section at its set position by spring force — zero electrical energy. Apply 24V DC: spring releases for repositioning. Remove power or E-stop: spring re-engages instantaneously. Mounts directly on positioning drive motor shaft end.

Drive & Stop for Lab Automation Sample Carousel

A diagnostic analyser indexes a sample carousel through multiple positions — sample loading, reagent addition, incubation, reading — and must stop at each position with sufficient angular accuracy for pipette heads and optical readers to engage correctly.

Clutch-brake combination provides drive and stop for carousel indexing where form factor and cleanliness requirements are confirmed compatible. Zero-backlash clutch engages; brake simultaneously engages at index position — consistent stop angle every cycle.
