A hoist suspending a loaded hook must hold that load the moment the drive stops, whether planned, power failure, or E-stop. Motor braking alone can't resist load-induced back-driving — the brake's default state must be engaged, not released.
Spring-applied, electrically-released single disc fail-safe brake. Default state: spring clamps the armature, load held at zero power. Apply 24V DC to release; remove power and the spring re-engages instantaneously. Direct motor shaft NDE mount.
Safety BrakeTraditional line shaft conveyors have no zone independence without per-zone motors or VFDs. Products need to stop in one zone while adjacent zones keep running.
Each zone has its own electromagnetic clutch. PLC energises the coil to drive a zone, de-energises to release it cleanly with zero drag — all other zones unaffected. Sub-30ms engagement gives smooth, jerk-free restart.
Single Disc ClutchOn a VFFS machine at 60–200 cycles/min, sealing jaw timing directly determines product quality — a late or early stop misaligns the seal. Milliseconds of drift compound into visible defects.
Clutch engages the drive shaft with zero backlash; at cycle end, clutch disengages and brake engages simultaneously on the same 24V DC signal, with no mechanical gap between drive and hold.
Clutch-Brake CombinationA winch drum must hold stationary against full load without creep — and any power fault must result in a safely arrested drum, not uncontrolled cable release. Brakes that rely on electrical engagement to hold fail in exactly the worst scenario.
Spring clamps the drum shaft by default, zero power required. Apply 24V DC to release for controlled payout; remove power or E-stop and the spring re-engages instantly. Cable reeling drum is an explicitly listed PV application.
Safety BrakeA sortation divert gate must actuate within 30ms of the PLC sort signal and stop precisely — a delayed engagement misses the sort, an overrunning gate jams. At 50–150 diverts/min this must hold across millions of events.
Clutch engages in under 30ms to catch the sort window; brake simultaneously arrests the gate at the divert position with zero backlash — same position every cycle. Direct 24V DC PLC interface.
Clutch-Brake CombinationA palletiser layer head must drive to pick position, hold while gripping, drive to place, and hold while releasing — all timed to the pallet build cycle. Insufficient holding force lets the arm drift under product load.
Clutch drives the traverse with zero backlash; brake simultaneously arrests at pick/place positions, holding the arm rigidly against product load — purely electrical, no pneumatic supply.
