Electromagnetic clutch-brake combinations and safety brakes for filling machines, checkweigher reject gates, conveyor zone accumulation, and food mixing equipment. Asbestos-free friction material appropriate for food production environments.
All PV Industries products use asbestos-free friction material. A failed checkweigher reject gate is not just a production issue — it is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident.
A rotary filling machine indexes its table through fixed stations and must stop at each station with accuracy for nozzles to engage correctly. At 30–120 fills/min, the same accuracy is required on fill 1 and fill 10,000,000. Overshoot means fill nozzle misses the container mouth.
Clutch-brake provides both drive and index stop. At the programmed station position, clutch disengages and brake engages simultaneously — stopping the table at exact station alignment every cycle. Separate coil inputs for independent torque tuning.
Clutch-Brake CombinationA food checkweigher must actuate the reject gate before the next product arrives at 100–200 packs/min. The entire reject event must complete in under 300ms. A failed reject gate is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident.
Clutch engages on reject signal within 30ms. At end of stroke, clutch disengages and brake engages simultaneously — arresting the gate before the next product arrives. Zero backlash ensures the gate stops at the same position every reject event.
Clutch-Brake CombinationWithout zone clutches, when a downstream station stops, products continue feeding into it — glass bottles crack, cans dent, jams cascade upstream. Per-zone clutch control creates zero-pressure accumulation so each zone stops independently.
Per-zone electromagnetic clutch. When downstream zone blocks, PLC de-energises the upstream zone clutch — zone stops with zero drag. Sub-30ms restart when blockage clears. Single motor drives the entire line.
Single Disc ClutchAn industrial dough mixer must engage the mixing drive smoothly — shock start risks mechanical damage and uneven mixing. The bowl lift mechanism must hold the raised bowl under full batch weight on power loss or E-stop.
Two products: electromagnetic clutch for smooth mixing drive engagement (progressive torque rise, no shock load on gearbox); spring-applied safety brake for bowl lift hold (holds raised bowl by spring force on power loss, zero electrical power required).

Coming SoonOnly the product types relevant to food & beverage applications — stocked in Bengaluru for same-week dispatch.
What sets PV Industries apart for food & beverage customers specifically.
All PV Industries electromagnetic clutches and brakes use asbestos-free friction material, making them appropriate for food production environment proximity. This is a certification requirement for FMCG and food plant installations that imported alternatives may not clearly document for Indian regulatory compliance.
A checkweigher reject gate that fails to actuate is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident, not merely a production issue. PV Industries' sub-30ms clutch response and zero-backlash gate stop ensures consistent reject actuation on every out-of-spec pack — protecting the food safety chain.
A stopped filling line or failed reject gate has a direct, measurable cost per hour. Import alternatives take 8–14 weeks — commercially unacceptable. PV Industries stocks the full range in Bengaluru for same-week dispatch with local application engineering support.
Our application engineering team will confirm the right product, torque range, and mounting configuration for your specific requirement.
