Electromagnetic clutch-brake combinations and spring-applied safety brakes for filling machine table indexing, checkweigher reject gates, zero-pressure conveyor accumulation, and food mixer drive engagement. Asbestos-free friction material certified for food production environment proximity.
All PV Industries products use asbestos-free friction material. A failed checkweigher reject gate is not just a production issue — it is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident.
Rotary filling tables must stop at each station — fill, check, cap, label — with enough accuracy for nozzles to engage correctly. Overshoot by even a few degrees causes a missed fill or contamination, at 30–120 fills/min, cycle after cycle. A stopped filling line is a direct, measurable production loss, and import replacements take 8–14 weeks.
PV Industries' electromagnetic clutch-brake combination drives and stops the table on the same 24V DC signal — clutch engages the drive shaft with zero backlash, then disengages as the brake engages simultaneously at the programmed station. Separate coil inputs allow independent torque tuning for table mass and index speed.
Clutch-Brake CombinationAt 100–200 packs/min, the full reject event — clutch engagement, gate travel, arrest, return — must complete in under 300ms. A gate that overshoots risks hitting the next on-spec pack; a gate that fails to actuate is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident, not just a production issue.
The clutch engages on the reject controller signal within 30ms, driving the gate through its stroke. At stroke end, clutch disengages and brake engages simultaneously, arresting the gate at exactly the same position every event.
Clutch-Brake CombinationOn a line shaft conveyor without zone clutches, a stopped downstream station causes products to keep feeding in and stack up under drive pressure — glass bottles crack, cans dent, jams cascade upstream.
Each zone runs its own electromagnetic clutch. When the downstream zone blocks, the PLC de-energises the upstream clutch — spring releases the armature cleanly, zero drag on remaining zones. Products accumulate gently with zero line pressure; sub-30ms re-engagement on restart.
Single Disc ClutchA shock start on a full dough bowl risks gearbox damage and uneven mixing. Separately, the bowl lift mechanism must hold the raised bowl under full batch weight if power is lost or an E-stop trips.
Two PV products for one machine — an electromagnetic clutch gives progressive torque rise for shock-free mixing drive engagement; a spring-applied fail-safe brake holds the raised bowl position with zero power. Enclosure/protective cover recommended for the food environment.

Coming SoonOnly the product types relevant to food & beverage applications — stocked in Bengaluru for same-week dispatch.
What sets PV Industries apart for food & beverage customers specifically.
All PV Industries electromagnetic clutches and brakes use asbestos-free friction material, making them appropriate for food production environment proximity. This is a certification requirement for FMCG and food plant installations that imported alternatives may not clearly document for Indian regulatory compliance.
A checkweigher reject gate that fails to actuate is a food safety and regulatory compliance incident, not merely a production issue. PV Industries' sub-30ms clutch response and zero-backlash gate stop ensures consistent reject actuation on every out-of-spec pack — protecting the food safety chain.
A stopped filling line or failed reject gate has a direct, measurable cost per hour. Import alternatives take 8–14 weeks — commercially unacceptable. PV Industries stocks the full range in Bengaluru for same-week dispatch with local application engineering support.
Our application engineering team will confirm the right product, torque range, and mounting configuration for your specific requirement.
